DATED  ANNOUNCEMENTS:  
Attention Parents, Students, Community Members, & Staff Members:  The CR School District is accepting nominations for the 2018 District Teacher of the Year!!  Nomination forms are available in each school building main office and on the CR Website.  Deadline for submitting is Tuesday, January 31, 2017.
 
BPA Meetings for month of January:  This month's theme is Interview Skills: Group C- Monday, the 23rd  and Group D- Thursday, the 26th.   All meetings last until 4:00 pm. You need to have a ride ready to pick you up.  Have any questions please see Mr. Mercer. 
 
Our School Store will be open  Wednesday until further notice due to Special Olympic Bowling practices.  Please come and purchase your school supplies during your lunch time at the FMS School Store Display Table.  Plus see the other cool fun items we have. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Hartman in room 127.
 
All Science Fair students:  You will be meeting EVERY Wednesday until the end of February. You next meeting will be January 25th.  It will be in Room 105 until 3:15. Have a ride in the front of the school to pick you up.  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Craig or Mrs. McHenry. 
 
If you are currently an 8th grade student that lives in the CR School District, you are invited to attend the “Future Freshman Scheduling Nights at CR High School on Wednesday, January 25th from 6 to 8 pm.  During the scheduling night, families will begin with a brief orientation in the auditorium and will then move to the cafeteria where they can meet with different departments to finalize the student’s schedule. Once you have finished the schedule, it will be reviewed by one of the CR High School Principals. You will also have the opportunity to sign up for the Freshmen Summer Success Academy, which is slated for July 31st through August 3rd this summer.  Remember we hope to see you on Wednesday January 25th from 6 to 8 pm. 
 
TSA MEMBERS! If you are participating in Video Game Design or Flight the meeting  is Thursday, January 26th. Please see Mr. Pierce with any questions.  
 
FCCLA students:  There will be a meeting Thursday the 26th to plan for our Spring Competition Events.  Please plan to attend the meeting, so that you can do your best.  This will be after school until 3:15 pm. Please have the ride waiting to pick you up in the back of the school. We will meet in 126. If you have any questions, see Ms. Sanner. 
 
Hello Fifer Family!  Please join Special Olympics Delaware as we kick-off the 8th annual Spread the Word to End the Word respect campaign. This national campaign helps to educate others about respectful language and encouraging attitudes of acceptance.  The royal blue t-shirt order forms and money are due  by Friday,  February 10th.  Please pick up an order form in the main office.  You will need to supply names and sizes. Please remember these shirts are CASH only sales. 
GAMES FOR FMS SPORTS:

Attention ALL students:  Students are not permitted to stay after school and wait on school grounds to attend home sporting events.  ALL students should go home and return at 4 pm to watch these events.  Thank you!

Homework Hotline Instructions:  1) Call the school phone number after 4 pm 698-8400; 2) When the message begins, push the room number of the teacher you want to hear; 3) It will ring approximately six (6) times; 4) Listen to the teachers' daily message; 5) If you are interested in another teachers' assignment, push #22; 6) This will take you back to the beginning of the school message; 7) Push the room number of the next teacher you want to hear; 8) Continue this until you have all your assignments to complete.
 
Home Access: Want to be up-to-date on attendance, missing work, testing results, grades and teacher comments. 1) Go to https://hac.doe.k12.de.us/HomeAccess/Account/LogOn?ReturnUrl=%2fhomeaccess 2) Switch to Caesar Rodney 3) Login is 1st three letters of first name, first three letters of last name, last three numbers of student id (no spaces or capitals); 3) Password is 1st letter of first name capitalized, 1st letter of last name lower case, student id (with leading zeros if needed to bring number to 7 digits), followed by dollar sign (no spaces).  Example: Login: caerod567 Password: Cr0123456$.  If you are a guardian or parent and do not have your own login and password, please stop by the main office and they can set you up with entry to this information.
 
The cafeteria is accepting money for your students’ lunch accounts. If you have any money (cash or check), report to the cafeteria as soon as you enter the building in the morning. If paying with check, please write the child’s full name, team, and grade level on the check. PLEASE do not wait until lunch time. If you are paying online, please go to http://www.PayPAMS.com. Stay informed about your student’s lunch account at your own convenience.
 
ALL Students: You must turn in your absent and sick notes when you return to the school to AVOID lunch detention. It needs to be turned in immediately first thing in the morning as you enter the building. Stop by the office and see Mrs. Henry to turn in or if you have any questions on this issue.
